About

Club History

City of Bath Athletic Club was formed in 1974 based on the Percy Boys Club in central Bath. We beat the Boys Club and in 1992 moved to Beechen Cliff School. Realizing the need to be closer to an athletic track and better facilities we moved to the Sports Village at Bath University on Tuesday 6 April 1999.

COBAC is affiliated with the Avon Country Athletics Association, Midlands Counties Athletic Association and Athletics UK. We cater for all aspects of athletics including track, field, cross-country, fun running and road running and welcome new members regardless of age, ability or experience.

Competition

Avon League and Southwest League Track and Field competitions for all age groups and McDonalds youth league. We also compete in county, area and national championships both indoors and outdoors and encourage our members to compete in open track and field meetings.

Cross Country Competitions in Avalon (Sunday) and Gloucester (Sat) Cross Country Leagues plus county, area and national competitions.

Road Running Competition in district area and especially national competition. Midland and National Six and Twelve Stage Relays. We also competed in many road races including, over the years, the Welsh Castles Road Relays which is the 20th stage relay from Carnaerfon to Cardiff over two days in June.
